Introducing the facility
This platform (funded by an ERC project) is dedicated to the isotopic and elemental analysis of equilibria between condensed phase and vapor phase at high temperature, using a new KEMS (Knudsen Effusion Mass Spectrometer) instrument. This prototype is currently under development.
It can be used to study liquid/solid/vapor equilibria, with applications in cosmochemistry, magmatology and materials science. Study of high-temperature evaporation phenomena, volatility of chemical elements and associated isotopic fractionations.
