Introducing the facility
The TIMS facility, a Thermo Scientific Triton Plus, is a multi-collection thermionization mass spectrometer. This instrument enables isotopic compositions to be measured with ultra-high precision. It is equipped with the new amplifier box. It can be used in both positive and negative modes.
It is dedicated to a wide range of applications in isotopic cosmochemistry (history of the early solar system, planet formation, early Earth), environmental tracer development and nuclear forensics.
