Abstract:

Through a series of examples, we will introduce the importance of fossil cephalopods for understanding marine ecosystems, from paleobiological aspects to geochemical interpretations. We will focus on the paleoenvironment with cephalopods from several perspectives and, using data synthesis, we will interpret ecological conditions (such as paleotemperature, bathymetry, water mass provenance, etc.) and their changes over time and space.
