Description du thème de recherche :

My research focuses on the development of numerical models of mantle convection incorporating global–scale plate tectonics, with the aim of understanding internal geodynamic processes and their consequences at the Earth’s surface through comparisons with various geological observations. In particular, I am interested in:

  • the dynamics of mantle plumes (ANR PLUM-BeatR project, MSCA SPIDER project),
  • the rheology of the mantle and its implications for seismological observations (PNP INSU RhéoSismAs project in collaboration with Stéphanie Durand),
  • the interactions between mantle convection and the dynamics of the lithosphere and surface layers (contributions to the ERC PANDORA and SINERGIA Earth from base to top).

I am also involved in the Did this really happen?! project, which aims to fight against sexism in academic and science ; in the operations of the Diamond Open Access journal Geodynamica, which I helped to establish; and in fostering the internal geodynamics community through my role as Science Officer at the EGU.
